2009 - Tug of War Competition 1 of 3
At it's meeting in Jan 2009 NEMS will hold it's third crazy inventor competition. The aim of the competition this year, is to build a model that can defeat all comers in a tug of war competition. The winner of the competition will be awarded an engraved whiskey glass.

- All parts of the model must be standard numbered Meccano parts produced by Meccano Ltd or Meccano S.A.
- Modification to standard parts is not allowed.
- The entire machine must be capable of covering the distance of six inches per minute under it’s own power. This will be tested by the judge before the race.
- The machine will weigh no more than 3lb including the batteries used to power the motor. The machine will be weighed before the race.
